How did this design improve life?:
This observatory is implementing a web based system to foster their already widespread activity y studies and projects, development based on design, education and organisation of congresses all over Latin America,
Since 1984 they have educated and counselled thousands of craftsmen and women, politician, technicians and professionals in charge of many more people all over the world, with emphasis in Latin America.
With the web system they are supposed to magnify the effect of their already very strong impact.

Functionallity and use of design:
The observatory defines transfers the recommendations established in the seminars organised by Fundesarte to competent institutions in the different countries where they are present and do the follow up of the implementation.

That the information is not transformed by local institutions into real initiatives to improve people’s lives, which is the central objective of Fundestarte.

Research and need:
During more than ten years Fundestarte developed on site standard cooperation activities with the crafts sectors in almost all Latin American countries, researching the profile of those sectors in each country.
Through those activities they got to know how the sector was established in each country and which activities could be the most convenient in each place.
From this starting point they developed tailor made activities, depending of the starting point for each sector and country.
