How did this design improve life?:
If you ever did the dishes by hand, like many people still do, you are defiantly familiar with the following scenario.
You are peacefully and happily washing your dishes, cleaning the remains of a decent meal from your plates. Actually, you can be very proud of your result, the dishes look almost better than new. And then, suddenly and unexpectedly, an entire wave of the polluted water shoots right at you. This greasy water gets all over your favorite shirt and you are soaking wet. And right that moment you think, is there nothing that can prevent this from ruining any more of my beloved shirts?

Well now there is and the device that does this is named Spatrand.
Spatrand forms a barrier between you and the ever wet and polluted water, protecting you, the washer of dishes, from getting splashed with greasy water.
Thanks to Spatrand, doing the dishes can be FUN and free of sorrow again. So more people will do the dishes themselves again, they will see it as a moment of fun and social interaction. And because washing the dishes by hand saves water, Spatrand will help reducing the waste of water.

Functionallity and use of design:
The Spatrand consists of three parts:
The upstanding part which has two places to put the arms. This part protects the dishwashing person from getting its shirt ruined.
Two vacuum-suction-thingies which are used to attach the Spatrand to the counter of the sink.
Drawbacks of life improvement:
Slightly less freedom of movement however this is minimised by the elastic characteristics of the hard rubber.
Research and need:
Based on own experience and observation, also some word of mouth.
Ergonomic research has also been done to ensure comfort.
